Welcome ...
From Your Club Captain
Welcome all to the 2025-26 lawn bowls season.
Welcome to new members looking to take up lawn bowls and being involved with a vibrant and welcoming community sports club. And welcome back to our loyal existing members, the club appreciates your ongoing involvement and support.
While the Green is being renewed, the first half of the season will see bowls being practiced and played at Coalgate and Kirwee alongside our normal travel/play schedule. Special thanks to our fellow Malvern clubs for allowing this to happen and the use of their facilities. Because of this our Club competition will still go ahead and also gives opportunity to socialise with a wider community.
Should there be any queries from members old and new, please reach out to me or any of the Exec team to point you in the right direction.

Playing on the Green
- You are welcome to use the green at any time as long as the "Green Closed" sign is not displayed.
- Please keep an eye on the "play" sign as this will direct you which way you will roll on the green, eg - away from the clubrooms, or parallel with the clubrooms.
- In order to protect the green as much as we can, our greenkeeper asks that you:
- wear flat soled shoes
- use a mat when playing
- refrain from having hot drinks on the green
- refrain from dropping or "dumping" your bowls
- Rinks are marked 1-7 or 1-8 (depending on direction of play). Again, in order to maximise an even wear across the green, members are asked to use rink 1 first, then rink 2, rink 3, etc. NOTE: Rink 1 will not always be at the side of the green, ie - depending on wear, the Rink 1 sign may be located on the 3rd rink.
Coaching
Out of respect for players, our coaches will not "interfere" by freely offering guidance. If you would like help, please ask them directly, or speak with your Club Captain for an introduction.
We have four coaches available, each with their own style and approach, so you are able to make the decision that best suits you.
Volunteering
Our club is like most other clubs, in that we are run by volunteers. If you would like to help out in any way, please let your Club Captain or the Sub-Committee lead know of your availability.
Uniforms
Our uniform policy is "club uniforms are not required to be worn unless a player is playing in a club championship final, representing the club, and/or a governing body is in control of the green"
Polo Shirts - these will be provided to members who are representing the club, as per policy. There is not cost involved.
Waterproof jackets, vests, caps and hats are available for purchase, entirely at your discretion. Please contact the Uniform Coordinator for further information.
Key Contacts
Your Club Captain will be available to help you at any time, however, our key contacts are listed on both the mens and ladies noticeboard; alternatively, please click here.
