Bowls Darfield
Welcome to Bowls Darfield - a club located in Darfield, on the corner of Cardale St and Clinton St.
We have a strong membership that takes advantage of one of the best quality and most consistent greens in the Canterbury Centre.
Measuring 33.5m x 36.0m, our 8-rink green is enjoyed by players, both new and experienced, for social, for practice, for club days and for tournaments.
Many of our members regularly compete in the many club and interclub competitions. But don't feel pressured, we love a social game followed by a beverage at the bar!
Bowls Darfield is part of the Malvern Sub-Centre and Bowls Canterbury.

From Your Club Captain
- Welcome all to the 2025-26 lawn bowls season.
- Welcome to new members looking to take up lawn bowls and being involved with a vibrant and welcoming community sports club. And welcome back to our loyal existing members, the club appreciates your ongoing involvement and support.
- While the Green is being renewed, the first half of the season will see bowls being practiced and played at Coalgate and Kirwee alongside our normal travel/play schedule. Special thanks to our fellow Malvern clubs for allowing this to happen and the use of their facilities. Because of this our Club competition will still go ahead and also gives opportunity to socialise with a wider community.

Bowling is a lot of fun - some people just want to have a roll up and some good laughs, others want to take the next step/s into competition.We welcome both!
We recognise that new faces are key to our club growing, so if you think bowling is a potential sport for you - or if you're more experienced and have moved into the area - then come on down.
* Bowls Darfield has loan bowls available for you to try out, so no need to buy bowls immediately.
Subscriptions
2025/26 Subscriptions:
Full Membership - $180
(if paid by 31 October 2025 - $170)
Full Membership - first year bowler - $70
Limited playing member - $60
Social non-player - $40
Green Fees - $5
* A Limited Playing Member is a person who can play bowls at Bowls Darfield only; cannot play in the club championships or at Sub-Centre, Centre or National events.
* Only Social Non-Player membership are able to participate in community events organised by Bowls Darfield.
